Gadling

Between August 2005 and December 2007 I was an occasional contributor to Gadling, part of AOL Travel. I wrote book reviews, conducted author interviews and penned several features:

China: I completed a 20-part series about my 2007 summer travels in China. Chinese Buffet included dispatches from Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Xi’an:

Books: Most of my writing for Gadling was focused on news and reviews for books related to travel. In October 2005 I created One for the Road, a daily book suggestion segment that I wrote periodically during my time as a contributor. I suggested travel titles each day, and reviewed some books in greater detail. Here are some examples:
